ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified ORA-12154: TNS: Angegebener Connect Identifier konnte nicht aufgelöst werden |
Cause
The Docu Performer cannot translate your entered Oracle hostname into an IP.
Normally the file TNSNAMES.ORA is responsible for this translation (path: $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin), but unfortunately, Docu Performer cannot use this file.
Solution
- Try to enter the real IP as "server name", e.g. 12.345.678.910:1521
- If it still does not connect 12.345.678.910:1521/<ServiceName>
- Or even the complete connection string. (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=<host>) (PORT=<port>))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=<serviceName>))
