Object Level

Data Lineage at Object level for HANA Entities.
We export two files: one file with all the relations of HANA Entities (“Relations”) and one file with more details of Calculation Views (e.g. Technical Name, Schema, and descriptions) (“Details”) of the entities.

In the “Relations” file only entities are included that have a connection in the data lineage. E.g. an a View with it’s its base tables. We deliver all relations between the following entities:

  • Views

  • Tables

  • Areas

  • Functions

  • Libraries

  • Packages

  • Procedures

  • Sequences

  • Synonyms

  • Tasks Triggers

In the Details file, we identify Calculation Views and display the descriptions of Calculation Views, Views, and Tables.

The supported entities for the standard edition object level are the following:

  • Tables

  • Views

  • Calculation Views

Field Level

Data Lineage at Field level for HANA entities.

The current state of implementation is that we show the buildups of HANA Calculation Views, HANA views, and HANA tables. buildup (columns) of the following entities are part of the current scope:

  • Tables

  • Views

  • Calculation Views

The buildup contains formulas and restrictions, the data type, length, scale and aggregation of columns.
For Calculation Views the columns are identified as Attributes, Measure, Calculated, or Restricted Columns.

The data type, length, scale, and aggregation of the columns are shown.
