Analyze and Compare HANA Entities

Equivalent to the System Scout function 'Analysis/Comparison of Objects' in the BW component, we also offer analysis and comparison of Calculation Views, Users, and Roles for HANA.

You can find the function either in the ribbon or in the search view:

After accessing the function, you can select a HANA system and then analyze Calculation Views, Users, and Roles. The results can also be exported to Excel.

There is also a possibility to comment on entities that cannot be synchronized with SAP. It concerns objects of the types:

Structure of Calculation Views:

With this analysis you will get the definition and structure of the Calculation View with the corresponding contents from the areas:

• Columns

• Calculated Columns

• Restricted Columns

• Hierarchies

• Variables

• Parameters

If there is a comment for a HANA object deposited on Eclipse or HANA Studio, these appear in the representation of the icons.

Structure of Users & Roles:
You can get an overview of which Roles are used in a User or in Roles. This can be helpful, for example, to find out from a User whose Role has been assigned to which User:
