Summary

An application created internally by bluetelligence to migrate data from an SQLite database to SQL Server.

Use case

You have started testing with a local SQLite database and have created templates and Scenarios and started working productively.
Now you want to move to a central SQL Server database without having to recreate your previous work.

Requirement

  1. Performer Suite v20.2
  2. SQLite database v20.2 (Source)
  3. Empty database SQL Server (Target)

Limitation

  • The target SQL Server database must be empty.
  • You have to choose: Data from only 1 (one) SQLite database can be migrated to the new SQL Server database.
    • You cannot write multiple SQLite databases to the same SQL Server database.

Where to get the tool?

Step-by-step guide

Place this migration tool as close as possible to your (target) SQL Server database to reduce latency and allow the tool to establish a stable connection to your SQL Server database.

(info) If you need assistance, please ask your database-admin.

  1. (Source) Browse for your SQLite Database
  2. (Target) Enter your (SQL Server) Name (not the database name)
  3. Select your SQL Server Authentication
  4. If necessary, enter your SQL user credentials (User name + Password)
  5. Enter the name of the empty SQL Server database
  6. Press Start Import (duration: 5-30min, depending on your SQLite database size)

Note

After your migration, please test various functions in your Performer Suite and let us know if anything unexpected happens.

Troubleshooting

If the migration fails-- please send us:

  1. application.log
  2. screenshot of your entire screen, as soon as the migration fails

(info) You can always send us your current SQLite database.
We will analyze what could be the issue and repair your SQLite database for your successful migration.
