If you want to use a centralized software distribution in contrast to a 'central installation' of Docu Performer (DP) in a central folder (recommended way) or instead of individual installations, please follow the steps below:
  1. Run the setup on your local machine, e. g. in your documents folder (which is more of an 'archive to be unpacked').
  2. Set the used central database (SQL Server or Oracle. SQLite is only for testing purposes) and name the respective systems (this can be adjusted later again since all the information is stored in the DP DB).
  3. Load your license into the central database (only need to be done once).
  4. Include the needed SAP Libraries DLL files into the DP folder → /wiki/spaces/DPUM191/pages/439523192
  5. Start the Docu Performer and connect to all your Systems once (BW, BO, HANA) to confirm everything is setup correct.
  6. Package the whole folder (there are no additional registries, nor path or variable settings needed).
  7. Roll out the package to your desired destination.
  8. The user now has only to execute the DocuPerformer.exe from the configured central folder.

  • The same DocuPerformer.exe can be started multiple times, as long a different user is logged in.
  • All the needed configuration-information is stored in subfolders and stored in the database.
  • Please make sure all users have write rights to the complete Docu Performer folder and its subfolders.
  • Keep in mind you need the respective .NET Framework on the target clients (.NET 4.6.1)
  • All the needed information can be found in the User Manual: /wiki/spaces/DPUM191/pages/437978956

Please note that users (always) cannot use the same user at the same time (in Docu Performer) and every user needs to have an individual user to work (="Named User License").
Also, consider that a user within the Docu Performer is a named license and should only be used for one assigned individual.
