Comment Transfer

The comment transfer functionality can be used to transfer a comment from one object to another. The comment transfer works across different object types and across objects of different system landscapes.

This functionality is part of the Docu Performer and can be found in the ribbon bar:

Create Object Mappings

To define the source and target object of a comment transfer, so-called mappings need to be defined. This can be done in the following 2 ways:

Create Mappings via Drag and Drop in the UI

To define the comment transfer objects, the user can simply select a source and target object and define the mapping via drag and drop (drag the comment source object and drop it on the comment target object).

Create Mappings via Excel Upload

To handle the transfer for a huge number of comments, the excel upload functionality can be used. The following steps need to be considered:

1. Download Excel Template 
2. Define a mapping for each comment transfer
3. Upload Excel 

The Excel needs to have the following structure. E.g.:

As soon as the mapping is defined, the functionality checks, if the comment transfer is valid. Furthermore, the user can check the content of the source and target comment by clicking on a specific mapping:

Mappings can be removed individually from the list via the context menu. To remove all entries at once, click .

Start Comment Transfer

The comment transfer for all selected mappings can be started, by clicking on the "Start Transfer":
