First, update your Performer Suite database, then install the new AutomationTool.

The Automation Tool can only access your Performer Suite database if it has the same major version.
As soon as you have updated your database to 21.3, your 21.2 Automation Tool will no longer be able to access the database and will show an error.

(info) What is a major version?
The first 2 digits of the version number.

Step-by-step

Performer Suite Setup Icon

Run the downloaded setup file.

  1. Use the "Browse" button to browse for your current Automation Tool that you want to update.
    Press “Next“ to proceed.

  2. Select the AutomationTool.
    Press “Next“ to proceed.

  3. If you receive the prompt to uninstall the services, then uninstall the Performer Suite services with windows admin rights (follow the instructions in this article).
