There is also a possibility to comment on entities that cannot be synchronized with SAP. It concerns objects of the types:
- Data Archiving Processes (DAPs)
- Structure elements in Queries
- Process variants in Process Chains
A Comment-Template, as we can maintain for synchronized entities, does not exist for these entities. A Multiline-text field is available to comment not synchronizable entities.
Displaying and commenting DAPs
The DAP functionality is supported for:
- DSOs
- Advanced DSOs
- InfoCubes
To display a DAPs of an InfoProvider start the context menu of the InfoProvider. Multiple selection of InfoProvider is possible.
Comments can be added for each DAP through the context menu of the selected DAP:

Display and commenting of Structure elements
Access to the commenting of structure elements is made via the context menu of the entities list by calling the "Analyze/Compare" analysis function:
The individual structure elements each have their own UIDs to which separate comments can be saved:

Access to the commenting of process variants is made via the context menu of the entities list by calling the function "Display Process Chain (network view)":
The comment of the selected process can then be edited via the context menu:
