Connect to new DB (database server moved)

Summary

Are you planning to move your Performer Suite-Database (DB) or moved already and wonder how the Performer Suite will connect to this new DB?

Explanation

There is an XML file, which stores the connection parameters to your DB.
This file is named ConnectionData.xml (default path: "C:\PerformerSuite\AppData\ConnectionData").

This XML is encrypted and cannot be adjusted directly.

Instructions

To adjust the files you have 2 ways:

Before your DB-move:
Start Performer Suite > Administration > Database > Database connection wizard > SQL Server > enter new parameters here.
(if a restart is requested, then the new XML is populated)

2. After your DB-move:
Start Performer Suite > You will now be given an opportunity to connect to the new SQL DB if the old DB connection cannot be established.
